Gorenjske lekarne

The Gorenjske Lekarne are a public pharmaceutical institution which, together with its twenty units, carries out pharmaceutical activities around the Gorenjska region, from Kranjska gora to Žiri.

What can you obtain in our pharmacies?
Everyone knows that in the pharmacy we can get medicine prescribed by our doctor. A pharmacist can also help you when you do not yet need prescribed medicine, or when you do not need a prescribed medicine at all.

They can help you carry out your self-treatment successfully, safely, so that you will not miss a small but important sign, which is telling you to visit your doctor. It is important to know that in the pharmacy you can obtain not only the right medicine but also good advice. In some cases only advice is needed and you do not really need medicine. Our experts will sometimes advise and so you will be able to avoid putting your body under stress and at the same time save yourself unnecessary costs.
In the pharmacies we will help you solve your health problems and many other small difficulties and above all meet your needs. All the pharmacies of Gorenjske Lekarne have recently set up special departments where you can obtain top quality cosmetics, personal hygiene products, products which offer you sun protection, products for babies, baby food and many other small products needed when you get a new family member. We are able to give you advice about the products which will help you preserve your health or improve how you feel.

Pharmacies of the public institution Gorenjske Lekarne carry out, in compliance with the contact signed with the Institute of Health Insurance of Slovenia, an ‘on duty’ service too. The Kranj pharmacy has a permanent ‘on duty’ service, the Jesenice and Škofja Loka pharmacies have an ‘on duty’ service only on Sundays and holidays from 9 am to 5 pm. Zlatorog – Bled pharmacy has‘on duty’ service just on Saturday from 13pm to 6pm.
